We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Platform team. You’ll help design, build, and evolve the infrastructure that powers our products and enables our engineering teams to move fast with confidence.

The role

As a Platform Engineer at Insurely, you’ll focus on building and maintaining the infrastructure, tooling, and operational practices that allow our product teams to ship reliably and at scale.

You’ll work closely with engineers across the company to improve how we deploy, operate, and monitor our systems. Your work will directly impact developer productivity, platform reliability, and the stability of the services we provide to customers.

Our platform runs primarily on AWS, with infrastructure managed through Terraform. Our application stack includes Java, Python and Node.js + TypeScript, with modern cloud-native tooling across the platform.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving systems, and building tools that make life easier for developers.

What you’ll do

Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that powers Insurely’s platform

Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling

Work with product teams to improve deployment processes and operational practices

Define and evolve monitoring, alerting, and observability across the platform

Improve incident response and operational readiness

Drive automation and reduce operational toil

Contribute to platform architecture and engineering best practices

What we're looking for

Experience working with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)

Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and distributed systems

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools

Programming or scripting experience (e.g. TypeScript, Python, Go, Bash)

Bonus if you have experience with:

Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

Security and compliance in cloud environments

Operating high-availability production systems

Developer platform or internal tooling

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone that can take initiative, drive projects forward, and have a strong “get things done” mindset - especially in situations where the path or directives may not always be fully defined.
