The Role: Founder Associate
We’re looking for a proactive and analytical early-career professional with approximately one year of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, finance, or startup operations. As a Founder Associate, you’ll work closely with our founder and leadership team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of running and scaling a high-growth startup.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain strategic, financial, and operational exposure in an entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Support: Assist the founder with high-impact tasks such as M&A activities, market research, and strategic planning.
- Financial & Commercial Analysis: Conduct commercial assessments, contribute to financial modeling, and support investment-related activities.
- Operational Excellence: Support board meeting preparations, including scheduling, agenda setting, and material development.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects that enhance efficiency or drive business growth.
- Investor Relations: Draft investor updates and support stakeholder communications.
- Meeting Coordination: Take detailed notes during key meetings and ensure action points are followed through.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Step into various tasks—big or small—that help propel the business forward.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, finance, or startup operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation creation).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Swedish and/or Finnish proficiency is a bonus but not mandatory.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with a “get-it-done” attitude.
- Academic background in business administration, finance, economics, or related fields.
