While we work remotely, our headquarters are based in Malmö where we have a few seats in the Minc incubator close to the central station. In addition to Sweden, we operate in several international markets, including Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Norway.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re now on the lookout for a Payroll Specialist to join our team!

About The Role

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of payroll administration, including preparing, reviewing, and processing payroll.
  • Managing employee administration, such as time reporting and preparing instructions, training and reminders for your colleagues.
  • Deciding and defining the processes and procedures for payroll processing at Yazen and regarding the way we report both into the payroll process and out from the payroll process
  • Reconciling payroll accounts, social charges, vacation calculation and pension contributions.

Additional tasks could include:

  • General bookkeeping and financial reconciliations.
  • Supporting invoice handling and administrative tasks as needed.

About You

We think you’re someone who:

  • Has a few years of experience in payroll administration or as a finance assistant with a payroll focus.
  • Is confident working with payroll software and as an added benefit also has some experience with accounting systems.
  • Is confident calculating payroll, vacation and pension while still utilising system support to prepare payroll
  • Likes to work with continuous improvements and who will want to grow with the company and be a driving force in developing new procedures as we grow
  • Has some accounting background, which would be a strong advantage.
  • Is detail-oriented, solution-driven, and structured in your approach to work.
  • While preparing Swedish payroll you also feel confident cooperating with our external payroll providers internationally to collect input and prepare payments.
  • Feel comfortable communicating in English
  • Enjoys working in a team but is also happy to work independently.

About The Position

Scope: 50–100%, depending on your preference.
